How long does it take for a design to be completed?
The timescale of a project is generally dictated by the client. If you have a deadline in mind we will endeavour to meet it for you. The most common delay in the creation of a site is waiting for content (text/images) to be sent to us by the client.

I would like you to design my site, what do I need to do now/what is the process?
If you would like to use our services all you need to do is inform us of the domain name you would like to use and send us a brief idea of your requirements. You can check domain name availability here. We will then purchase the domain in your name, purchase the right hosting package for your project and then based on your guidance,design an initial web page for you.
This is then refined/changed in consultation with the client until a satisfactory design has been reached. We will then need you to forward content and images for your site and start to design the website for you.

Do I need to buy a domain name and hosting?
No, we do everything for you.

How much will it cost?
The cost of a website varies, depending upon the type of site you require. A basic site will cost approx $299.00, a simple ECommerce site $699 onwards, a complex ECommerce site/Database Driven site $999.00 onwards. Obviously each site has to be treated on it's individual requirements, but these figures should give you an idea of a ballpark figure. We request a 50% deposit for all projects. The balance of payment is then due on completion of the project.
Payment can be made by cheque, Bank transfer or by using Online Payment Gateway.
The only ongoing cost will be your annual Domain & hosting fee.

What do I get for my money?
All our designs are created and conceived from your requirements. We don't use ready made templates, all our sites are designed from scratch. So if you want a green website with pink spots you can have one!

What happens when I complete your contact form?
If you are making an enquiry about a possible site you would like created, please provide a brief outline of your requirments. We will then mail you back promptly with an idea of price/timescale and any suggestions with regard to your project. You are not obliged to use our services at any stage during this process, so feel free to use the form to ask any related questions you may have.

Do I need to send a deposit for the work?
Yes we generally ask for a 50% deposit from clients.

How long does it take to have a web site designed?
The time frame is determined by the size of your web site, the complexity of your site design, and our current client design schedule.

What is FTP?
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a method of transferring files (web pages for example) from your local PC to your web server. There are a variety of free ftp software programs available on the Internet and they enable you to update your website pages at any given time. When a hosting package is purchased 'ftp details', consisting of the host name, User ID and password are sent to us. Upon completion of the website and receipt of payment for any work carried out, we then send these details to the client.

What is a URL?
It stands for "universal resource locator". This is the address typed in to view your web page on the Internet. For example, you would type in http://www.ngxprodesigns.com to access our home page.

What is a domain name?
A domain name is a specific web site address that you choose and register to the official registrar of domain names ending in .com, .edu, and .gov). Our domain name is "ngxprodesigns.com".

I am currently hosted with AnotherFirm and would like to switch over to NGX Prodesigns Hosting. How do I do this? Just fill out an inquiry and we will take care of everything. We will transfer your domain name along with all of your existing web sites content.

Can I choose you to design my site and use my own web hosting?
Yes, you can use any web host you like. Once your website has been completed you will have to provide us with your web hosting FTP login username as password so that we can upload your website for you.

What is web hosting?
Web hosting is a annually fee that you pay to have your site accessible on the Internet. We can provide web hosting for our clients.

What is site maintenance?
Site maintenance is a fee paid monthly to keep your site updated with new content that you provide. Most good web sites have new content updated regularly. Fresh content is what will keep your visitors coming back. This is an optional service that we provide for our customers. If you want to maintain your website yourself you can do so.

Do you offer any type of discounts?
Yes, we offer discounts for schools and non profit organizations.

Web Site Content - What Do I Put On My Site?
That would depend on the goals of your web site. If you run a business website you would include as much information about your products or services that your customers would need to purchase from you.
